in Australia, conservationists trying to protect a colony of endangered fairy penguins (under attack by wild dogs and foxes) have enlisted the help of a couple of Maremmas (Italian sheepdogs) to protect them.
it's working so well that conservationist protecting other species in other places are looking into whether or not a couple of Maremmas could help them too.
plus they are super cute!
