high contrast

I light of what people in central Italy are going through as a result of last nights earthquake, among other things, it seems awfully petty to complain about the weather. So, I am not going to complain (anymore), but rather marvel at the weather and how quickly it is likely to change.  

See that lovely little plant?  That's one of the squash seedlings that I planted indoors 3 weeks ago and will plant in my garden about 5 weeks from now. 

See that behind it?  That's the snow that fell last night on my neighbor's roof.  

it's pretty amazing when you think about it.
