harness the wind

last night on the Daily Show, Jon Stewart interviewed William Kamkwamba about his new book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.

It's an amazing story about how, using bicycle parts, other "junk" and the information he found in a library book, then 14 year old Mr Kamkwamba built a windmill in his Malawian village.

He also gave a talk at TED a couple years ago.

and you can check out his blog, here.

Sometimes, what people are capable of just knocks my socks off.
