the beginning

We've had a few up until now but, I think this week marks the official beginning of tomato season!  The most wonderful time of year.

It also marks the beginning of eggplant season and the continuation of cucumber, zucchini, kohlrabi, romaine, carrot, green bean, broccoli, cabbage and 'arrange your crops by color and take a pretty picture' season, which is also quite nice- especially now that there are more colors than just green.

check out more harvests at Daphne's Dandelions.

Look at all those beautiful colors! Now that's how I'd like my meals to look every night. I can't wait to have a little home with some land for a garden.

LOVE the color and variety. And you got some skills with your camera, not to mention your green thumb! If that picture doesn't inspire some people to grow and eat more vegetables, I don't know what would!

Wow - beyond jealous. Our 3 yellow courgettes and soggy butternut squash pale into insignificance!

Hello~ Thanks for visiting my blog the other day! Sorry for my delayed 'thank you' but it's been a bit challenging getting back on track since coming home from vacation:).

Wow... this picture (as many other commenters have shared) is absolutely gorgeous. We just built a raised bed garden this year and THIS is what we aspire to become. Very inspiring...
