one potato, two potato, three potato, four

Because the nights are getting cool, yesterday I decided to pulled the sweet potatoes out of the garden. At first it was very exciting.

Then it got a little scary.

And then it got down right ridiculous!  (that's a 7 gallon bucket.)
check out other people's harvests Daphne's Dandelions.

You are going to be eating sweet potatoes for a long while it seems! Sweet potato is one of the must-have plants in my future garden -- my boyfriend and I could seriously eat them all the time.

I wish you were closer so you could come over for some sweet potatoes!
There are a few of them that could serve at least 4.

Oh wow! That is awesome. Looks like you will be eating a lot of sweet potato bread, sweet potato pancakes, sweet potato pie, and my favorite... sweet potatoes with marshmellows, honey, and pecans.

Oh dear! Do you know any babies that you could make baby food for? Like, a 100 babies? Or maybe just a lot of sweet potato fries? I wish I lived near you because I would certainly help you eat them!

And I just read your comment on Brandi's blog. That is hilarious! I totally overuse exclamation points but if I don't use them I fear I sound sarcastic. So I use them everywhere. I really am that excited!

I love, love, love sweet potato harvest even better than potato harvest because it still amazes me that I can have something so lush and southern seeming in my northern garden. Very nice looking specimens you have there.

Fabulous harvest. I hope you love your sweet potatoes, because I see you eating them for quite a while before they are all gone.
