a good end

We had really great luck getting our green tomatoes to ripen indoors this year and last night ate our very last homegrown tomato.  I kind of wanted to wait until December 1st so I could say we ate tomatoes from our garden in December, but I wanted tomato soup more so we ate them.

I can't believe that in just 8 weeks or so I'll be starting seeds for next years garden.  Looking out the window and seeing how dark it is today, that just seems crazy.

I so miss my parents vegetable garden and having our wonderful summer tomatoes all year long! I'm sure the soup was absolutely delicious!

That's so awesome! I can't wait to have my own garden. Soon, very soon. And I'll be sure to check your blog on tips and things because you've done yourself good.

PS - i'm hosting a giveaway, my first ever!

Lucky You! I love tomatoes from the garden. My mom just finished hers up last week also....they had way too many so she just made a ton of sauce.

Did you make sauce with those tomatoes? I love seeing your garden goodies. Your food posts always make me want to run to the kitchen and start cooking!

This is fantastic & kudos to you for getting them to ripen! We just threw our green ones in the fridge & that's where they've sat since we picked them. I wonder if it's too late now to get them to ripen.
