Limon

In addition to making jam, canning tomatoes and salsa and making nocino, we also made limoncello!

We zested 10 lemons, being very careful not to get any of the white pith (it will make your limoncello bitter!), and put it into 1 liter of Everclear and let it sit for a few weeks.

When it's ready we'll strain out the rind, make make a solution of 50% distilled water and 50% sugar, boil it and use it to dilute the liquor by half (or a little bit more) and bottle it.

It's not quite time for all that yet, but last night we snuck a taste and it was DELICIOUS!

Wow, color me impressed! I'm about to go on a 10-day bender of authentic limoncello, I can't wait!

I'm not an alcohol drinker but I love that you put it all in Bell jars. Awesome.

I have never had this before but have wanted to try it. I am going to make this!! I have a silly question though. The 50% distilled water and 50% sugar....what does that equal out to in measurements?
