I planted 2 patio peaches this year. They are about 2 feet tall and look kind of like Dr Seuss trees in the Lorax, but they should bush out and be quite pretty in a few years.
They weren't supposed to be of fruiting age so I didn't pay much attention to them, just made sure they were well watered and gave them some compost every now and again. But today I was clearing some leaves around them and there it was, one ripe peach!
I have no idea why it ripened so late, but Steven and I split it and it was very tasty!
Now I really can't wait until spring.
