portable city

this past weekend we went to see Anne Wilson's exhibition, Portable City at Paul Kotula Projects.

from Anne Wilson's website:
A city is imagined of tensile networks, deflated domes, skeletal igloos, flattened tents, elevated canopies, schematic cooling towers, linear pathways, rubble from collapse, stacks and parts to rebuild. The overall field suggests a macrocosm of detailed worlds of connections where ideas and implications emerge of both usefulness and disjunction.

We were also lucky enough to meet her and listen to her answer questions about her work.

If you're in the area, go see it. It's wonderful.
