I don't know how she did it, but Nina Katchadourian spent 6 weeks or so fixing spiderwebs one summer.
I think they are so beautiful and I'm amazed that they were even possible.
And this morning, reading about the tragedy and destruction in Haiti, I really like thinking about people fixing things. Even if it's just spiderwebs.Text 'HAITI' to '90999' and a $10 donation to the Red Cross will be added to your cell phone bill, or donate here, here, here, here or here.

My heart goes out to everyone in Haiti. I donated yesterday and could think of nothing else for a better part of the day...I was out of sorts.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. You should make a trip this way to New Orleans. it was nice trip for us. I enjoyed it. The food was great. The people were interesting. There was alot of interesting things...but i was totally afraid to take my hand out of my pockets (just got enganged and have a huge rock). but it was a nice experience.

astounding. and i love that she worked a touch of humor into the project as well. thank you for sharing this heartwarming and really relevant project.
These photos are a perfect way to remind us what's happening. I only wish I could do more for those devastated by the earthquake. I've made a donation, and I'm planning a blog post for next week...a good reminder that the people there still need our help and prayers after the initial rescue efforts end.

What a poignant post to remind everyone to fix things versus tear them down or neglect them -- and the Haiti situation will need help from all of us to do that very thing! Take care.
How fitting to remind us all that there is so much rebuilding to do. I keep thinking about how a little goes a long way, especially in our digital world where so many of us can connect and do something to help.

Wow...those are amazing! Thanks for posting! It's still so hard to believe all that's going on in Haiti though! Such a tragedy...I can't even begin to imagine what they're all going through.
