Matthew says he brings a compass with him to the city, but sometimes it does not work 'cause of all the metal. Love the stencil. Finally some positive"tagging"!
I am sure there are some very thankful tourists in NYC. Oddly, after living there for so long, I can get off any subway and immediately know which way is north -- it's what the city did to me.
What a brilliant idea. I've lived in NYC for more than 40 years. Very often there are multiple exits and once you ascend you are never quite sure which way you are facing. I mostly take buses but now I'll be sure to look for the compass when I do use the subway!

Ooh that is genius! It's rather disorienting to come out of a subway stop in unfamiliar territory.
Very cool idea! Only in NYC... :)

How fun! Yet another reason why I would love to live in New York.
I agree! genius it is!
