You know what's the best? Surprise parties.
Last night we celebrated our friend Andy's birthday at the yummiest restaurant I've been to in Detroit, El Barzone. It was super casual and kind of spur of the moment- a bunch of us got to the restaurant early and yelled surprise when the mastermind of the event brought the birthday boy in.
And it was great! Good friends, good food, but most of all it was so wonderful to see my friend Andy so happy and surprised. It absolutely made my day.

I know! they are so fun. I love to be on the giving side and not the receiving because I get so silly and nervous. Planning surprise parties is entertaining, I love it.
