Long weekend

So, it's the last weekend of summer, sigh, and I started it out right by having breakfast with our friend Andrew at Selma Cafe.

Selma Cafe is one of Ann Arbor's great things.  Every Friday, Jeff and Lisa open up their home to a hundred or so guests for a breakfast made of seasonal, regionally produced food, prepared by a rotating group of fantastic Ann Arbor based chefs.

The proceeds go toward supporting local agriculture, and to developing a local foods infrastructure.  For all the (unfair) bad rap it gets about its climate- Michigan is an incredible place to grow food.

But the best thing about Selma Cafe is that it's just a damned nice place to have breakfast with a damned fine group of people.  I really need to make a point of going more often.

Read more about Selma here.

That's it -- I need to take a trip to Ann Arbor. When I get there, could we meet at Selma Cafe? This place is just incredible. I'd love to do something like this one day.

Okay, the next time I go to Ann Arbor I have to go to that cafe. Everything looks and sounds delicious and since you love it then it must be fantastic.
