house share

Since most people don't really appreciate birds living under their roof tiles or shingles, designer Klaas Kuiken made terracotta roof tiles with a bird house built in to accommodate the little guys.

Pretty great, right?

Love these. I'm always amazed that some people consider birds pests. I think there are few things more amazing than getting to share bits of your home with animals that need it. That said, the only things that are allowed to live inside the house are the ones I invite in.
Happy weekend, Abigail!

Oh I love it. Just saw a cardinal in the yard yesterday. Makes Brooklyn that much more livable to have birds around :)
