The Austrailian government has put up a
job listing for a caretaker for the islands of the Great Barrier Reef. Job duties seem to be just "a few minor tasks" and the only requirements are that you are a strong swimmer and that you know how to read and write English.
The caretaker receives free housing in a lovely 3 bedroom house with pool and golf cart, and a more than $100,000 salary.
It is going to be -9 degrees here in Ann Arbor tonight.
Minus nine.
If I didn't turn as red as a lobster after 7 minutes in the sun and wasn't deathly
afraid of fish, I would be seriously tempted to apply.
